What does a TOC Analyzer actually do?
It measures how much organic material is dissolved in your water. The Analytik Jena multi N/C instrument burns the sample at high temperature (up to 950°C) or breaks it down using UV light — this converts the organic material into CO₂ gas, which is then precisely measured by a detector. The result tells you the exact concentration of organic carbon in your water, in milligrams per litre, within 3–5 minutes.
